Build Your Own Pizza Lunch Box with Fresh Fruit Kabobs
Ingredients
Pizza
- 1 Whole Grain English Muffin, sliced
- 1/4 C. Low Sodium Pizza Sauce
- 1/4 C. Food Club Part-Skim Shredded Mozzarella
- 1/2 Fresh Red Pepper
- 1 Slice Dietz and Watson Deli meat, ripped into pieces
- 1 Handful of Spinach, finely sliced
Fruit Kabobs:
- Grapes
- Watermelon, cubed
- Blackberries
- Skewers
- Yogurt (as a dip, or by itself!)
Instructions
- First, wash your hands with soap and water.
- Gently rub your grapes, blackberries, and the outside of your watermelon (before cubing) under running water. Then, assemble your fruit kababs! Slide fruit onto skewer. (Tip: Parents, consider cutting the sharp point off the kababs!) Set kabobs aside.
- Rinse your red pepper under running water and cut into small pieces.
- Place pizza ingredients into bento box spaces for your child to assemble at lunch. If assembling now, lay each half of the English muffin facing up. Spoon sauce over both halves. Sprinkle with cheese, peppers, deli meat, and spinach to enjoy!
