1 Loaf French Bread
1 Lb. Bacon
2 C. Chopped Celery
1 Medium Onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. Sage
1/2 tsp. Basil
1/2 tsp. Oregano
1/2 tsp. Thyme
Salt & Pepper, to taste
2 C. Chicken Broth
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Cut or rip french bread into 1 inch cubes. Place in large bowl and set aside.
Cook bacon to desired doneness. Allow to cool, then crumble or cut into small pieces, reserving bacon fat. Add bacon to large bowl with bread.
Sauté celery and onions in reserved bacon grease until softened, then add to large bowl with bread and bacon.
Add seasonings and chicken broth to bowl; mix well.
Transfer stuffing mix into a greased 9×13 dish and bake covered for 30 minutes.
Uncover and bake for another 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
