What is Swicy? It's the perfect blend of sweet and spicy in your favorite dishes! Chocolate and cayenne pepper are the perfect pair in this mouthwatering dessert!
6 oz. Bittersweet Chocolate
1 Stick of Butter
1 C. Brown Sugar
1/4 C. Dark Cocoa Powder
2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1/2 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (+ more for garnish)
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/2 C. Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare an 8x8 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray or parchment paper.
Use your microwave or a double boiler to melt the chocolate and butter together. If using a double boiler, stir the butter and chocolate to combine. If using a microwave, melt them in 30 second increments, stirring between.
While the chocolate and butter mixture is still hot, add the brown sugar to the bowl. Slowly whisk the mixture until the sugar is dissolved. Next, whisk the eggs into the batter one at a time.
Add the cocoa powder, cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, vanilla, and salt until everything is well combined.
Use a spatula to fold the flour into the batter. Pour the batter into prepared baking dish. Bake for 35 minutes, or until cooked all the way through.
Allow to cool. Cut and serve sprinkled with more crushed red pepper flakes!
Dial up or dial back on the spicy level by adding more or less cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes.
